Essential Documents
To sell your car legally in Belgium, you must provide the buyer with the following documents:
- Bill of Sale: Proof of transaction.
- Registration Certificate (Pink card): Both parts if it is a recent model.
- Certificate of Conformity (COC): Proves the vehicle meets standards.
- Inspection Certificate: Less than 2 months old for the sale (unless selling to a professional like us).
- Car-Pass: Mandatory, certifies the real mileage.
- Application for Registration: Pink sheet given by the technical inspection.
If you sell to a professional like Expert Cars, the procedure is simplified: we handle most of the paperwork, and the technical inspection for sale is not mandatory for you.
