1. Prepare the vehicle

A clean vehicle sells better and for more. Clean the interior and exterior. Gather maintenance invoices and the logbook to reassure the buyer.

2. Estimate the price

Look at similar ads (same model, year, km) to get an idea. Note that the displayed price is not always the final selling price.

3. Choose your sales channel

  • Private sale: Potentially a better price, but requires time (calls, visits, test drives) and carries risks (payment, after-sales). Obligation to pass the used car technical inspection.
  • Dealer trade-in: Simple, but often conditional on buying a new one and low trade-in price.
  • Specialized merchant (Expert Cars): The ideal compromise. Fast (24h), immediate payment, no technical inspection, and a fair price based on the professional market.

4. Documents (if private sale)

If you sell to a private individual, you will need to pass the "used car" technical inspection and obtain the Car-Pass as well as the pink registration application.
